I have specialised in the residential property market however the business can very easily cross pollinate into the commercial sector and many other markets.
I started the business last year but was offered a fantastic job opportunity ( I am a Graphic designer by trade) last September and I have only been able to use the vehicle at weekends or take holidays to undertake jobs and in my opinion the business needs to be more hands on to allow it to grow.
I have worked for a number of high profile agents over the past year by doing very little marketing, showing that, with more time devoted to it, the business should grow to a very good level.

Due to low overheads I have been charging J89 for one set-up which has gone down very well with agents and has helped me gain business from the competition. (Further fees are payable by agents for two or more set-ups per property and this is a good way to upsell when on site).

What stands this set up from any other is that a lot of work has gone into building well populated Twitter, Ageants and Big Red Apple accounts and more importantly a Google position of #3 (using ‘elevated digital photography’ and one of those above is Wikipedia!.)

As for the hardware, the van is fitted with a Clarke 21 metre, pneumatic mast system which is installed onto a sliding trolley on the roof of the van and is in great working condition being less than 4 years old. This mast has the optional taps fitted so that you can release some or all of the sections depending on the height required and weather conditions. At the flick of a switch the mast extends to full height in around 2 minutes and you can take pictures as soon as it is being extended by using the remote capture software on the laptop computer.

Within the vehicle there is a workstation for the photographer as well as two seats, with integral inertia seat belts and a side window that is covered by a mesh graphic so that you can see out but not into the vehicle. There is a 240 volts inverter within the workstation as well as two 12volt sockets for numerous uses. The van has only done 65,000 miles will have a new MOT and has 6 months tax remaining. The vehicle has 2 seats with integral seat belts are fitted and also a very rigid ‘workstation’ area where the laptop, pan and tilt control and inverter are normally housed.

1 x Clarke YT21 mast with all sections keyed and clamp-able,. Auxiliary air outlet valve, quick release air outtake, head load clamp, 1 x pull back clamp. All tube sections are anodised and outer components coated black.

1 x Model 200 Power Pack 12 volt compressor: The largest of the Clark Masts Power Packs. It features a Vee-twin oil-less piston compressor which pumps about 200 litres/minute of free air. The electrical remote control has a cable and controls an electric exhaust valve or the start of the compressor for mast extension.. Result is single action selection of mast extension or retraction.
