Charlie's areas of special photographic interest lie in the performing arts, photographing actors, singers, models, presenters, photographing headshots and general shots for portfolios and publicity not forgetting capturing actual performances. He is also keen on photographing family portraits and memorable family events such as birthdays, weddings and engagements.

Charlie Downes Photography
Charlie Downes is a professional photographer living in the west country but able to travel throughout the south of England to fulfil commissions. His interest in photography started as a young boy and developed over the years. In 2006-07 he completed a BTEC Level 3 course at Weston College, then between 2012 and 2015 he completed a Foundation Degree in Professional Photography through the University of Plymouth.
Charlie is happy photographing anything, but his preferences lie in photographing people. He especially enjoys wedding and engagement photography along with general portraiture work and photographing performers and the performing arts.
Between 2009 and 2010 Charlie and his wife Sue took a sabbatical to Crete where he spent time photographing weddings, baptisms, birthday parties, tourist events and local events in the Greek calendar. He very much looks forward to hearing from you and helping to capture the memories of your special event whatever that may be.
I had a 3 hour session with Charlie which was most enjoyable. He is a lovely, welcoming man and the photos look great. Excellent value for money. I am very pleased!
