Thank you, Jake, for photographs that will give my wife and I a lifetime of joy!
With my wife having a background in photography, we were very fussy about getting a competent photographer who was capable of capturing our wedding day the way we wanted - we could not have been more thrilled with the results!
The photographs that Jake produced looked like they belonged in a magazine; the way that he uses light to complement backgrounds and how his composition includes framing with tree branches or architecture really is spot on. Yet the incredibly high level of shots that he produced felt effortless to us on the day, Jake was such a pleasure to have around on the big day. We felt so comfortable with him and had complete confidence in his work following our pre-wedding shoot.
Nothing was too much trouble for Jake, he arrived bright and early when My wife was at the hairdresser and stayed all the way through to the dancing. He worked so hard, capturing not just the key moments but also many of the little details. The way that Jake presented the photographs in a personalised wooden box, containing a USB stick of the photographs, mini prints and even some love hearts make it a lovely memento. Our friends and family have been very complimentary about the photographs. For my wife and I, our favourite part was the slideshow set to music that Jake came over in person to show us.
My wife and I would highly recommend Jake to anybody.
We were delighted with the photographs that Jake presented to us for our wedding in October.
When we were planning our wedding we knew that the photographer was going to be a key part of the day to ensure that our memories were captured. When we met Jake to discuss our ideas he was extremely professional and came prepared with a portfolio for us to review, listened to our ideas and was extremely easy to get along with. This was important as you are with each other so much of the day. He managed to get some great shots without being obtrusive and as they were mostly non-posed we have some fabulous relaxed shots.
The final presentation on soft copy was beautifully presented personalised in a wooden box.
I can’t recommend him highlight enough and we were pleased to have him as part of our day.
We are so pleased that we picked Jake to be our wedding photographer. He really put us both at ease in front of the camera and every picture looks fantastic. Jake also interacted really well with our guests who were really impressed at how professional he was and how well he blended in with the crowd. Not only will Jake document your day with some beautiful shots of your ceremony he also knows how to get some cracking shots of you and your guests partying in the evening!
Jake did a fantastic job at our wedding last summer - can’t recommend him enough. He captured the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the day perfectly. Whilst he got some posed shots that we love, it’s the natural shots that stand out. The relaxed style is clearly his passion and forte - the photos are beyond our expectations.

I live in Hathern, just outside of Loughborough with my beautiful wife and two amazing kids, my big lad Ollie who loves his Martial arts and Rugby and the non-stop talking whirlwind that is Lily Lou! I have been doing photography for most of my life in one way or another but have been professional for the past 9 years. It's not just weddings I love to shoot I also do a lot of commercial work including school prospectus photography and professional headshots to name a few. I love the outdoors! Hiking, biking, archery, so any free time I get you will find me up a mountain wild camping and obviously photographing the beautiful landscapes.
If you have chosen a weekday ceremony, between Monday and Thursday (excluding bank holidays), and only need me for a few hours, get in touch and I can put a package together for you. It's always nice to meet up and have chat about your plans for the Wedding day and what you want from your photographs, hopefully over tea and biscuits! It's also a great time to run through the timings or any concerns you may have. A. I guess I'm a Documentary Wedding Photographer, as I like to tell a story from beginning to end.
I love Derbyshire and spend a lot of time walking around the Derbyshire dales with my family and our Jack Russell Fletcher. I have also had the pleasure of photographing at some great Derbyshire wedding venues. So if you are thinking of getting married in Derby or somewhere else in Derbyshire and you like my style, please get in touch.
If your business is online, you'll know how important first impressions are. Not only does your headshot need to be great it needs to reflect your personality and profession. Having a great headshot can be the difference between getting noticed or not, so I will work with you to capture your personality and star quality. Some of the headshot sessions covered include corporate/staff headshots, fitness photography, actors and performers and social media portraits. Please get in touch for a quote here.
These children and family sessions take place out doors and are about creating beautiful photos of you and your family interacting naturally and having fun. With a little posing direction and some natural lighting techniques from me, and a lot of messing about from you, we will create some stunning artwork for you to display pride of place in your home. A. There are a number of great local places for the family shoots, for example: Bradgate Park, Beacon Hill, Wollaton Park, Rutland water. I'm also open to suggestions so if there is a special place where you like to go as a family we can take a look.
Choose between four size options and an extensive range of cover finishes that truly make every album stand out. Starting from 20 pages and running up to 100 pages, the album offers outstanding quality and flexibility. All digital albums come presented in a drawstring bag and gift box.
I love these moments, which are full of excitement and nervous energy. I grab candid and sometimes intimate moments that can be easily overlooked during all the madness. These mixed with portraits, detail shots of shoes, bags, bouquets, and of course the dresses, make for a great beginning to your wedding story. Obviously the most important part of your big day! I'll keep a low profile here and will capture all the wonderful little moments that make the ceremony so emotional and amazing photos.
