Kirsten's passion for photography really came to the fore when she was teaching for many years in Nairobi, Kenya. She took advantage of her location to travel extensively throughout Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, specialising in photographing the tribes-people and their way of life. She wanted to record tribal life, to depict the contentment of the people and to capture their beauty and elegance.
