Google Business Photos is an extension of the very popular Streetview format and a very powerful marketing tool, effectively allowing prospective customers access to a 360 virtual tour of your business through Google Places, Google maps and Google searches. You will also be able to embed the images and tour in your own website and be able to use the images for any other advertising purpose including social media. Potential customers will be able to walk around, explore and interact with your business as if they were actually there.

The process for a business to take advantage of Google Business Photos is typically:

- A meeting at the venue is arranged to discuss the shoot, fees, timescale and the contract.

- Before the shoot you will ensure the venue is looking at its best; tidy and including all the details that make your business as attractive as possible to customers.

- On the day of the shoot, I will take a series of 360 degree photos and a set of "point of interest" photos (e.g. storefront, opening hours, menus, interesting decoration, products or anything that will help promote your business)

- I then take the photos back to the studio, upload them to Google and after processing, your Google Business Photos will be ready.

Google has approached me as an independent photographer to help implement this in the London area and I am now a 'Google Trusted Photographer' - you can find me listed when you click on the 'Get Started' link on the Google Business Photos web page and further information at my website - Google will not charge to host the Business Photos and Virtual tour and are offering £50 of free adwords advertising to businesses taking advantage of the service. Depending on the size of individual shoots my fee starts at £150. Of course every business is of a different scale and with different challenges so it is helpful for me to to undertake a site visit to give an accurate quote and meet business owners and decision-makers.
