A low-key approach is the basis of my natural documentary wedding photography style. Some call it wedding photojournalism. This means I’ll be there to catch the best of all the moments you’re enjoying and many you won’t have seen. I’ll blend in with the party looking for genuine, natural images full of emotion, fun and humour.
Each wedding is unique, as is the way you interact as a couple, and that’s what I’m looking to capture. If you’re feeling (or looking!) awkward while we’re taking a few minutes out to capture just the two of you together, that’s when I’ll step in with some direction. Ultimately, my style is as an observer over a director, keeping your wedding photography natural, capturing you at your best.
Other than ten minutes or so capturing you as a couple and a few group shots after the ceremony, the day is yours with no distractions from me. I leave you to enjoy the company of your guests on your wedding day while I duck and dive unobtrusively, creatively capturing the interactions between you all.
Baby & Children’s Photography
For baby and children’s photography shoots I like to capture creative, natural documentary images. I like to take pictures that tell a story and show the aspects of a child’s personality. Much depends on the mood on the day, the weather, the light. No two shoots are the same, because no two children are the same. I don’t work from a studio set. For me it’s personal! It’s all about those moments on that day in your lives. And the ability to relive them again and again through the magic that is photography.
I come to your home, holiday home or favourite place for the session. I’m keen to capture the kind of photographs my father took of my sisters and I as children. In our favourite places. Doing our favourite things. Doing the mundane, like being spoonfed in the high chair. Sometimes in glorious happy technicolour. Sometimes in tears. My dad’s photographs of us as children have been my inspiration for this side of my work. Thanks Dad.

What can I say? Suzanne’s charisma, authentic postivity and calm oozed through the whole documentary style pictures of our wedding. I could never ask for any better. We really had no idea she was capturing all these beautiful photos of us and our guests! Do yourself a favour and book her for your wedding, or any special momentous occasion actually. She can frame that whole day, the energy, the individuals and the vibe so naturally it’s like reliving it all over again. And she isn’t afraid to climb high to get those stealthy aerial shots too!!! We are eternally grateful Suzanne

Suzanne works magic - she has the most amazing eye for natural detail and the skill to capture the most beautiful moments.
I hate having my photo taken and am far from photogenic! I was really worried about finding the right person to capture our wedding day. From the start Suzanne put me at ease, we had a few meetings and she really listened to what was important to us. During the day you would have hardly known she was there and then the when the photos arrived we were absolutely blown away. She had really captured the emotion and unique stories of our day.
Since our wedding Suzanne has as also helped us to document our growing family with beautiful family shoots at our home.
I cannot recommend Suzanne highly enough, she is a true master of her trade & a beautiful, genuine person

Just a note to say a massive thank you for capturing such lovely photos of our wedding.
You were so discrete all day and I had no idea that you could get that many by being so subtle! It is really wonderful looking through all the photos, sharing them with friends and family. Our flat is currently full of them and they make us smile every day.
Thank you so much also to Duncan. We are thrilled with the ones of Ally’s ushers’ lunch. I felt like I was there!
Thank you so much for being such a brilliant part of our wedding day.
We absolutely LOVE our photos and have had so many compliments. They capture the day perfectly – thank you!
You were also so much fun to be with and put us at ease. We thoroughly enjoyed your company and know all our guests did too.
Thank you again!
I would like to say, thank you so much for our wonderful photographs!
We absolutely love them! So many of our family and friends want copies!
Constantine has already put many up in frames around our house! It was such a wonderful day and we are so happy that we have photos to keep our memories alive!
Thank you so much for all your time and extra! We will definitely recommend you to our friends!
We’ve received amazing feedback from our friends and family regarding your photos. We would like to post a review for you somewhere, please let us know where is best to do this!
People have said that the photos are stunning & that you have done us both proud. A lot of people commented on how you seem to have been everywhere, and no wonder as you have got us both from every angle.
You did an amazing job capturing the joyful atmosphere of the day, showing stunning views of Cambridge, and taking shots of the details.
We loved seeing the photos of everyone enjoying themselves…the photos taken during the service are the ones we love most. It’s great to see those and to be able to re-live the ceremony again. We were both smiling and laughing the whole day.

Since I last photographed this lovely family, baby Annie has been brought into being, a happy little soul to join her sister Emily and brother Jack. Guess who was the best behaved! We were hoping for some glorious sunshine to accompany us on our family photo shoot, but alas, the closer I got to Suffolk, the more the clouds threatened to wash us out. So we started with a few shots in the living room of the Riverside B&B at Letheringham Mill where they were staying. Then we booted up and took a stroll in the drizzle around the gardens and meadows.
Baby Max and his brother were being dressed for the Christening celebrations as I arrived. So we had a little time to document their preparations before we headed off to Horning church for Max's ceremony. The vicar at Horning church made an impression on Max's big brother, he was listening intently as David spoke, it was lovely to see! And David was great with both boys. Max barely flinched when the water was poured over his head. Max's brother Thomas was cheeky with me. He likes a game, he likes to tease and he loves cake!
The sun, it turned out, had been saving its light up for this wedding. It was blue sky and sunshine all morning! It was great to be part of Chris & Inna's Norfolk Mead wedding celebrations in Coltishall on Sunday. So happy for you both that this was able to happen! Thank you for having me as your wedding photographer - I can't tell you how good it was to feel the love. There are many more to come soon. I'll be in touch, in the meantime have a fabulous festive, and let's look forward to a new way forward in the new year!
A creative wedding photographer based in Norfolk, UK since 2003, my speciality is documentary wedding photography. Some call it wedding photojournalism. Or storytelling. I shoot the wedding day as it happens. It's about genuine, natural, creative, emotional images. I want to reflect the uniqueness of you and your day. I want to tell the story of your day. Whatever the weather, wherever the location. Based here in Norfolk, I also photograph weddings throughout the UK as well as destination weddings in more distant lands.
Destination wedding photography commissions began to be requested by clients a few years ago. All weddings are fun no matter where they are in the world. I'm delighted to be offered opportunities for destination wedding photography beyond the UK where of course it's lovely for me to shoot in a different environment and in different light. To date I've covered weddings in France, Italy, Mallorca and Sri Lanka. Destination weddings take a lot of organising. These days we can keep it simple by having meetings on Skype and dealing with contracts and payments over the net.
Spring arrived briefly this week for Matt & Saba's Norwich Castle wedding. It's been chilly ever since, so I'm delighted for them that we had some warmth for a change. At the moment, Norwich castle weddings are being held in the Colman gallery while work is going on in the usual room. With no window light, it was surprisingly bright in there! Matt & Saba's ceremony over, I followed them and their guests through the city on their way to The Last Wine Bar for celebrations. It's not often I shoot city weddings, so this was quite a treat for me.
When I heard from this lovely family again recently, we agreed on one of those socially distant photo shoots. They're very popular at the moment. Insert wink emoji here. We spent a bit of time thinking about where we might go this time around. Somewhere with lots of summer colour. Somewhere local to them, local to me. Where we might do some family photography in Norfolk. The sun was due on the day of our shoot last week, so we started early. It was already hot by 9:30am. But there is plenty of shade in the gardens at the Old Rectory, so we could all stay cool.
We were in Kiev last weekend and it was so lovely to be able to share the photos with Artem's granny. It was also such a pleasure to meet you and have such a friendly person be part of the special moments of the day. It was a complete joy to have you around during the day and your warmth and ease with people was infectious. It felt like we had known you for years! You made us and our guests feel so comfortable and there was never the feeling of having a camera shoved in our faces. Thank you so much for being a part of it and leaving us with the most wonderful selection of photos that we will treasure for years.
