Strong technical abilities and attention to detail Extensive experience with 35mm, medium format and large format cameras in both a film and digital capacity Project management, resource allocation, scheduling, QA and documentation Ability to prioritise workloads effectively and successfully manage projects to completion Planning and execution of complex location shoots both domestically and abroad A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships at all levels A reliable, committed worker with a high level of drive and experience of working in busy, demanding environments Ability to control studio or location situations where the photographer, models and stylists all work together towards a common goal KEY EXPERIENCE Senior Photographer Extensive experience in commercial photography working with a wide variety of clients including B&Q, John Lewis, Target Living and JD Williams Considerable lighting experience with a broad range of flash and constant lighting systems both in studio and on location Conducting daily photographers meetings to outline objectives and expectations Monitoring image quality from all photographic team members Working alongside clients and art directors to achieve their desired result Supervision of junior photographers and studio assistants Analysis of training needs and delivery of training to junior photographers Model selection, hire and related administration Project Manager Interpretation of clients’ needs and development of creative solutions Production of accurate quotations and shooting schedules Delivery of projects within demanding timescales – under budget and always meeting acceptance criteria for quality Tender presentation to senior marketing departments Communication and translation of briefs and timescales to the chosen team at the studio, typically consisting of the studio manager, photographers, stylists and set builders Chaired and facilitated production meetings at all levels Management and coordination of shooting schedules ensuring all departments are aware of changes and re-planning where necessary Maintenance of client contact with regular updates throughout the project Continuous improvement - acquiring product knowledge to ensure correct installation and accurate representation Management of post process procedure - coordination of IT department to ensure distribution of required imaged to the client Management of FileMaker databases for all projects ensuring a full audit trail IT Systems Phase One digital systems Capture One Pro Adobe Lightroom 3 Adobe Photoshop CS 5 Adobe Bridge FileMaker Pro Apple Final Cut Pro CAREER HISTORY FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHER 2008-present TRAFALGAR PHOTOGRAPHIC STUDIOS, BRADFORD 2001-2008 Senior photographer / Project Manager Photographer CATALYST DESIGN, LEEDS 1999-2001 Senior Photographer Photographer ATG DESIGN, HUDDERSFIELD 1997-1999 Photographer Assistant Photographer EDUCATION BA (Hons) Photography, University of Wolverhampton, including a one year placement at the University of Illinois, USA HND, Art foundation course.
