Douglas was superb and wonderfully unobtrusive. We wanted to have the best photos of all our important people without all the posing and time-consuming group shots. A bit of a tall order but Douglas exceeded our expectations in every way. He was a delight to deal with and a total professional. Thank you for recording our special day so brilliantly.

Our sons wedding was photographed ( brilliant photos everything we could wish for )a couple of years ago I now needed a high res photo from my sons wedding to create a canvas picture all i had to do was ask ( yesterday ) and within hours i was sent one and could sort the picture i wanted for my wife's birthday, cannot fault the service and after-service we have received in any way highly recommended Dave

We had Douglas take the photographs for our wedding in November 2021 and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. The photos were great, Douglas was very discrete during the whole day and we really liked that the formal family photos were well organised and didn't take too long so we could go back to the reception. I also really liked that he didn't use flash so as to be able to get natural photos without alerting the people around. Many thanks Douglas and Sam.

Douglas was a brilliant photographer! He was very friendly, and made you feel very relaxed. Took some fabulous photos, he was very good at hiding, especially in the church! I never believed he took so many photos until they arrived. Would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

For 20 years I employed professional photographers for marketing photoshoots and so, I know the best and so when, it came to my own family photography, my number one choice is Douglas Fry. There is truly no one better than Douglas for putting you at ease and creating perfect, candid shots. He is a total professional, very friendly (and funny) and the quality of the photography is superb. I could not recommend him more highly. The level of service from the first call through to the photographic shoot and the amazingly beautiful photographs to share and treasure afterwards are, simply the best.

Douglas was our wedding photographer and we genuinely couldn't have found someone better. We love every one of the pictures he presented to us and there are a lot! He was superb throughout and frankly barely noticeable by his presence. He has truly captured the essence of the whole day from the arrival of guests, to the wedding service itself, to the reception, the dinner and of course post dinner.
We particularly love his soft focus photos of all of our guests. He has curated a beautiful wedding album for us which is something we come back to again and again. Highly recommended and would happy to be a reference.

We asked Douglas Fry to take some photos of our family during lockdown, while our kids were at home and our son was back from University. Doug managed to put everyone at ease and the whole shoot was great fun. He is very professional and the photos were processed very fast and with incredible efficiency. We were so happy with the prints. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

With guests travelling from across the world, Singapore, USA, Japan, Australia, Europe and the UK, it was essential we had the very best photographer to capture our wedding at Kensington Palace. I met Douglas at a wedding event and after seeing how he masters capturing moments during these precious occasions, I didn't hesitate in booking him. Douglas Fry was recommended to us by our venue: Stationer's Hall as someone who had been there before, and produced great photos. He wasn't the only one on their recommended list, but after checking out his website, I really liked the style of his photography: natural/reportage and no-flash. Sometimes photographs can look washed out with a flash, and that's not the look we wanted. He will include the formal line-up photographs - and any other photographs/groupings you want.
We asked him to capture our day. He certainly did that. The photographs are beautiful and arrived very quickly. His wife runs the admin side and we couldn't be more satisfied with their communication and professionalism. They say don't scrimp on your photographer and I would agree. I don't regret booking Douglas Fry for a minute and can't recommend highly enough. (Thank you Douglas!)

They work so well together that Adrian doesn't appear in Douglas's photos nor Douglas in Adrian's video . As for the day itself, I hardly noticed Douglas was there, and yet he managed to capture so many amazing moments from the day, the very essence of the day.
